Laura Babetto teaches piano, music composition and digital music production at the Shine School of Music in Barcelona.
Laura Babetto is an professional music composer and piano player from Italy. She took her first piano lesson when she was 6 and from that moment on music has been her main love in life, she soon realised that her biggest desire was to compose.
She started to expand her musical skills by studying different genres such as jazz and pop music, learning to play other instruments (guitar, bass, saxophone and keyboards), composing her own first piano pieces and getting admitted to study music at “Cesare Pollini” Music Conservatory of Padua.
She is now 28 and has graduated twice, both in Jazz Piano and in Classical Composition after a ten-years master diploma course, that now allows her to work in Barcelona as a professional music composer for short films, producing music for clients and for herself, and teaching both classical and jazz piano with more than five years of experience.
Her teaching skills are enhanced by ten years of concert experience as a piano player in the north of Italy, mostly as the jazz pianist and arranger of the Pollini Jazz Band.
Laura uses the piano as the primary way to develop every new composition as well as using it to mirror the world of musical theory. She enjoys creating new music from every little element and loves helping others to improve their creation process, according to whatever style and musical path they want to follow.
