Johannes North teaches bass guitar, double bass, guitar and piano at the Shine School of Music in Barcelona.
Growing up in a musical family Johannes started playing the piano at the age of 6. After a couple of years and discovering his growing interest in rock music he switched to the electric bass when he was 15. 2 years later he started discovering Jazz and fell in love with the Double Bass.
After finishing highschool in 2009 Johannes decided to study Double Bass Jazz at the Hanover University of Music and Folkwang University (Essen, Germany).
Since then he has played numerous concerts with Jazz Bands and Classical Orchestras in Europe and Asia. Besides his professional musical journey he also became more and more interested in teaching and started teaching piano, guitar and bass at different music schools.
In 2015 he moved to Barcelona (Spain) to pursue his dream of living in this wonderful city.
Johannes has a degree in Double Bass, with a focus on Jazz. He teaches and performs in various musical styles including pop, rock, jazz, latin and classical music. He has over 8 years of teaching experience.
