Jofre Gibert teaches Classical Cello, Contemporary Cello, Modern Cello and Piano at the Shine School of Music.
Born in Barcelona, he has his first contact with music at the age of six and at nine he joins the Escolania de Montserrat, where he receives a solid vocal, cello, piano and organ formation. He continues his cello studies in Barcelona With Gaëtane Duynslaeger, completing his training at the Catalan Higher School of Music (Barcelona) where he studied classical and contemporary cello with José Mor and piano performance with Xavier Barbeta. He also studied chamber music with Kennedy Moretti and the Casals Quartet.
He has received masterclasses from international teachers such as Lluís Claret, Maria de Macedo, Stefan Faludi, Raphaël Pidoux, Céline Flamen and Vivien Mackie. He has also been a member of several orchestras including the Young National Orchestra of Catalonia (JONC). Apart from classical training, he has also participated in jazz and modern music projects, as well as recording the soundtrack of a feature film, in the orchestra of a musical and recently in an electronic music project.
